The LILCO Building, located on the water in the beautiful Village of Northport, was constructed in 1924 by the Long Island Lighting Company.  The building served as offices and garages for the power plant across the street until the 1960’s.  Today the LILCO Building is home to retail stores and offices, all with a view of Northport Harbor.

The Northport Native Garden Initiative created a wonderful native garden around the LILCO Building.  Thank you to the village and all the volunteers that made this happen. Come by and see the beautiful and important gardens.
